Tea Party Roars

By Douglas V. Gibbs
Author, Speaker, Instructor, Radio Host

In the Temecula Valley, Tea Parties emerged three times.  Once in 2008.  Once in 2009.  And finally in 2010.  They never held together very long because of internal bickering.  The tough part about being conservative is that as individuals, we don’t play the game of collectivism too well.  The hive of leftism holds together more masterfully.  Resistance is futile.

I hear, often, from leftists and establishment cogs that the Tea Party is dead.  They believe it is no longer around.

The Tea Party has not vanished, especially here in California.  In fact, in the Golden State, the Tea Party Roars.

Tea Party groups dot California throughout the State, from smaller groups like the San Fernando Valley Patriots, to the mid-sized groups like the Banning-Beaumont-Cherry Valley Tea Party Patriots, to the larger groups who bring in over a hundred people at each monthly meeting and knocks on thousands of doors for candidates, like the Redlands Tea Party

What has happened is the Tea Party has grown up.  It’s not about rallies, anymore, as much as it is about influencing elections, and keeping people informed, and engaged.

The Tea Party group I spend most of my time with is the Banning-Beaumont-Cherry Valley Tea Party.  I can still remember, years ago, when I first met Glenn Stull (the founder and president of the Pass Area’s Tea Party group) at a Unite I.E. meeting.  He introduced himself to me, and we got to talking, and in the conversation he explained how he was a part of the Redlands Tea Party, “but, I am thinking about starting a Tea Party in Beaumont.”

And, he did.

It became the Banning-Beaumont-Cherry Valley Tea Party who got the City of Beaumont to opt out of S.B. 54, California’s unconstitutional Sanctuary State law.  It was the BBCV Tea Party that was rallying for Trump in 2016.  And, it is the BBCV Tea Party that is now putting out hundreds of signs and information about candidates such as Travis Allen for Governor, and Kimberlin Brown Pelzer for Congress.

They also have more up their sleeve.  How about property tax relief for senior citizens?  How about constitutional presentations at the end of each monthly meeting?  How about candidate forums and miles of canvassing for candidates who share their values?

Despite the liberal left’s opinion, the Tea Party remains in place, and they are roaring!

By the way, the Pass Area’s Tea Party meets for Breakfast every Tuesday Morning at 8:00 am, and the second Thursday Night (5:00 pm) each month, at the Farm’s House Restaurant, 6261 Joshua Palmer Way, Banning.

That all said, that doesn’t mean that Temecula doesn’t have it’s patriot groups.

Constitution Association, meeting the first Saturday evening of each month at 5:00 pm, Lake Village Clubhouse, 30151 Rancho Vista Road, Temecula.

Murrieta-Temecula Republican Assembly, next meeting Friday Night, May 18, 2018 at 6:00 pm . . . with a Sheriff’s Forum and CRA Endorsed Candidates meet and greet, Conference Room, Temecula Civic Center, 41000 Main Street, Temecula.

Temecula Valley Republican Women’s Federated, whose next meeting will be on May 15, 2018, which will be a Candidate’s Forum, 10:30 am, Wilson Creek Winery, 35960 Rancho California Road, Temecula

Yucaipa Votes Against S.B. 54

By Douglas V. Gibbs; Author, Speaker, Instructor, Radio Host

While an amicus brief, letter, or resolution has not been established or written, the California Inland Empire City of Yucaipa in tonight’s city council meeting moved, seconded, and approved to take a position against S.B. 54, California’s Sanctuary State law.

Tim Donnelly was there, when I couldn’t be, and recorded the critical vote.

The Democrat Party’s unconstitutional Sanctuary State Law continues to be challenged, and denied, by the cities of California.  Beaumont did it last Tuesday, as has a flurry of cities in the last few weeks (primarily in Southern California).  The Democrats have doubled down on the immigration issue, and they are losing regarding their open rebellion against the United States Constitution.  Is this enough to also turn the tide in the election, and break the Democrat Party stranglehold on the Golden State?

Could we see a move towards increasing GOP numbers in Sacramento?  Could this be the kind of momentum needed to put a Republican Governor in Sacramento?

Perhaps.
