Update and Report on BBCV Tea Party first Town Hall Meeting

March 24, 2014

Hello Tea Party Supporters,

Thanks to the work of Tea Party Committee volunteers the March 22nd Town Hall Meeting was successfully and on schedule.   Our volunteers did a fantastic job decorating the facility and providing patriotic music, checking out all the needed equipment and setting the stage for candidates to speak.

All four guest speakers were well received.  Doug Gibbs was a constitutional expert that opened the meeting with some educational remarks, followed by our next California Senator for this area, Assemblyman Mike Morrell.  Cheryl Benton, a local leader in the Republican Women’s Club, spoke ten minutes about the voter Integrity project and its importance because of the lack of resources of our local governments, and mistrust many feel because of no voter I.D.

Assemblyman Brian Nestande, Candidate for Congress in the 36th Congressional District, spoke extensively about problems facing California and America. He expressed serious concerns with President Obama’s attempt to go around congress with executive orders; Obama’s picking and choosing which laws to faithfully execute passed by congress, and the threat of inflation and future high interest rates because of the Federal Reserve Banks printing over four trillion dollars to purchase bonds. All the candidates took questions from the audience during the program.

The Banning Beaumont Cherry Valley Tea Party gained valuable experience organizing this event. We will be writing a short instruction manual for future use by ourselves and hopefully other Tea Part groups in the 36th district. We’ve now paid for and have nearly 100% of the material needed to duplicate similar events this year.  The building and equipment in the community center worked perfect and is ideal for large meetings. The City of Beaumont and Park District were wonderful to work with and the Beaumont Police Department had a Uniform Deputy attend, at our request, for extra safety measures.

Special thanks to Ron & Carol Murphy for heading up the committee to help organize this event. His project management skills were extremely helpful in making this event successful. Also a special thanks to Don Dix of Unite IE, he introduced all our speakers and help the program run smooth.  Don hosts the AM590 Talk Radio Show on Saturdays for the Unite IE coalition.

See you Tuesday morning at 8 am for breakfast at the BMG Mexican Food Restaurant at 550 Beaumont Ave. in Beaumont, located across the street from McDonalds and Bakers Fast Food Restaurants, Take Beaumont off ramp of I-10 freeway.

Thank you,

Glenn Stull

TEA PARTY ACTIVITY IS GREATLY INCREASING

TEA PARTY ACTIVITY IS GREATLY INCREASING

I attended the Tea Party California Caucus, a recently organized group consisting of active leaders of Tea Party members on Oct. 5th. This new group attended the California Republican Party’s three day meeting at the Anaheim Convention Center for the first time. It turned out to be the largest outside group attending the convention with many Tea Party members also serving as delegates for the Republican Party. The Tea Party California Caucus was very successful in having four of the five resolutions adopted at the meeting they had submitted for consideration.

In addition the Tea Party California Caucus had a special meeting for local and statewide Tea Party members serving in leadership positions. That meeting started at 4 PM and went on for over two hours with standing room only. They had great speakers on what’s happening with the Tea Party movement. There was standing room only and the large room was packed with many standing just outside the double doors located in the center of all the meeting rooms. All the other large rooms were having similar meetings of other groups, but the rooms were nearly empty with five to twenty people. The enthusiasm was unbelievable and everyone stayed until the end of the program, many staying on to visit personally with speakers and guests. I stayed on an extra half hour or so visiting with others before making my drive back to the Banning/Beaumont/Cherry Valley area where I’ve lived 45 years. According to one speaker we now have over 300 Tea Party groups in California and they expect that number to rapidly grow between now and the 2014 elections. I’m going to pray for three thousand plus Tea Party groups in our state. For the web site of the Tea Party California Caucus, visit their website: www.teapartycc.com. This is a group I plan on joining and supporting. My main effort and work will be on the Banning Beaumont Cherry Valley Tea Party and encouraging start ups in other communities.

I attended a meeting of leaders from conservative groups throughout the Inland area Monday evening at 6:30 pm that lasted until 10 pm. The host for the meeting was the Redlands Tea Party, one of the largest and best organized Tea Party groups in Southern California. We had approximately 20 people in attendance and this meeting was chaired by a chapter leader of Act! Corona. Act! Corona is a conservative group educating the public about the Islam movement that’s been taking place in the United States for many years. Their website is www.actcorona.org. I’m on the email list of Act! Corona and I recently received a fantastic YouTube video about the Middle East. This is the link, just click and hopefully it will open.

During this meeting I was ask to pass out petitions to overturn the new law that a pupil shall be permitted to participate in sex-segregated school programs and activities, including athletic teams and competitions, and use facilities consistent with his or her gender identity, irrespective of the gender listed on the pupil’s records. The group working on this petition drive need to obtain 800,000 signatures by November 1st, 2013, just weeks away. If successful it will be on the ballet next year. If the citizens get it on ballot it will pass based on polls. The petition drive is by ” Privacy For All Students – Stop AB 1266″. Go to web for more info. I have about 35 copies I’m passing out to church leadership in Banning-Beaumont-Cherry Valley area.

This is my first ever blog. Please forgive me for any errors!

Sincerely,

Glenn Stull

TOWN HALL MEETING MARCH 22 nd FOR CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE BRAIN NESTANDE

Our local group is hosting a Town Hall meeting in the Beaumont Community Center located at City Hall 550 E. Sixth Street in Beaumont on March 22nd, 2014 with Assemblyman Brian Nestande being the featured speaker of the event.

Our group has continued to meet at the BMG Mexican Restaurant in Beaumont over the last few weeks and we are getting more and more citizens interested in the conservative cause. We hope to promote more education to the people of our area and make a difference.  The progressive lift is creating a large dependent underclass of citizens in America. The left does this with high taxes creating high unemployment and also undermining our educational system.  I say underclass only in the sense they will get enough free stuff to just survive.  We are witnessing many people giving up liberty and freedom for a little security.  Our hope is to continue the wave from 2010 and see the Progressive Left voted out of office by the American people that don’t like being consigned to mediocrity.   Please come join us at the BMG Mexican Restaurant in Beaumont every Tuesday at 8 AM.

God Bless you and God Bless the United States.
